do we provide the van?

We ask that you provide your van for the conversion. However, we are more than happy to help you find the perfect van, and provide our thoughts on the different chassis and pros and cons of the available platforms on which to build.

What is the typical cost of a conversion?

Given the bespoke nature of our buildouts pricing can range greatly. Typically our builds start around $75,000 for a more basic but livable conversion. From there, pricing is what you make it, depending on the level of customization in your buildout. No idea is too big for the team here at BTV!

What is the build process?

We typically ask that you start by filling out our conversion survey. Once we have the survey we’ll reach out with build ideas and the offer to schedule a phone call. Once we get the idea refined a bit more our team will put together a custom design for your conversion. Then you can go back and forth with our build team to refine that idea. Once we have the design dialed in, we’ll put together a quote for the build. Once you are comfortable with where the quote and build design, we’ll take a deposit for a slot on our build schedule.

Can I have part of my van built out?

We like to do the build start to finish, but if you want us to help you get started on your own build we are happy to design a basic conversion. From the initial build you are free to customize and improve as your dream progresses.

Do you install bumpers?

We fabricate roof racks and nerf bars, as well as installing components from other trusted vendors. Check out our Exterior Components page to learn more.

How long does a build take start to finish?

After designs and quote are approved and your van has been delivered to the shop, the build begins. The contracted timeline for a conversion is 14 weeks but depending on the level of complexity vans can be finished quicker or may require more time to perfect.
